Two prac-ademics explore the realities of the health/fitness industry shifting health behaviors of just 20% of the population. How do we “reach” the 80% who are not involved? Do they need “exercise” or is becoming less sedentary and moving more enough? Case studies and stories from the field provide insights about how to use behavior change theory to connect with those making daily activity choices that affect health. Attendees will learn how to integrate evidence-based practices into daily routines, targeting individuals who are in the contemplation/preparation stage of change.
