The plan is to present the practitioner with both evidence and practice tips for implementing health and wellness coaching techniques. We will present some of our current research findings while also addressing the state of the existing coaching literature. After briefly discussing the obstacles impacting coaching research, we will turn attention to directions of future study. Once groundwork for the potential of coaching as an effective healthy behavior change technique is considered we will move into practical application of coaching techniques. These pointers will include how to adopt coaching techniques into fitness and wellness practices.
