In an attempt to satisfy consumer demand for cheap food with appealing taste, manufactures have resorted to manipulations that may not result in healthy foods or healthy eating habits. It is important for the HFP to understand the most prominent current food controversies to help clients make better, healthier food choices. A big step in helping clients sort through these issues it is recommended that the HFP teach clients how to read food labels and identify products that may sound healthy, but which may  have made tradeoffs that, in fact, result in unhealthy food choices.
