Diabetes is a worldwide epidemic. Persons with diabetes should regularly engage in exercise and physical activity so they can gain the same health benefits as those without the diagnosis. It is important for those with diabetes and those who supervise the activity of individuals with diabetes to be aware of exercise recommendations and contraindications. In this paper, we provide evidence-based physical activity recommendations for those with Type 1 diabetes and Type 2 diabetes.
