Description

To offset muscle loss with aging, experts recommend higher protein intakes combined with routine strength training exercise. With women’s multifaceted lifestyles and specific fitness and body composition goals, this session will consider traditional and contemporary approaches to exercise aimed at maintaining muscle, increasing strength and contributing to flexibility that, when combined with higher protein diets, will help women achieve lean bodies. Practical approaches will be provided.

  1.   Describe the effects of diet, specifically protein intake, and exercise on muscle mass, strength, and flexibility.
  2.   Explain the key elements and health benefits of yoga training.
  3.   Describe various traits and benefits of whey protein.
  4.   Calculate the quantity of protein that should be consumed to achieve adequate intake and maximize health benefits.
  5.   Identify strategies to modify menu plans to maximize protein intake.
